      Is there a way to create a feedback loop with scripnode that sounds like sticking a mic in front of a PA speaker? I can create an infinite loop with the send/receive nodes, but nothing really takes off into the realm of uncontrollable squelching.

        I think the feedback value caps at 99% in order to avoid this (even if you set it above 1), but if you amplify the signal between send and receive with a separate node, it might create this effect.

          @christoph-hart I've tried this as well. The repeats remain clean, and when the loop volume gets to a certain level, output just cuts out.

            @dustbro You need to simulate the acoustic environment. Put a delay and a reverb between the feedback nodes.

            Play some notes and gently move the gain parameter up (turn your speakers down for safety!). The feedback frequency will be determined by the delay time and some reverb parameters.

              @christoph-hart sweet! What do you think work work for something like a guitar delay pedal that doesn't have an acoustic environment?

                @dustbro Use a cabinet impulse response - there's no feedback without any kind of non-linear response. If you can make an impulse response from just the pickups, you'll get the closest to a "naked" feedback signal, but I wouldn't know how to achieve this.
