Scriptnode convolution and reverb modules vs in-built...
-
Am I correct in assuming that there is a difference between the convolution and reverb modules in Scriptnode and the in-built HISE ones?
-
@ursbollhalder not sure, but you can use oversampling for the convolution in scriptnode, which is essential in my opinion.

@lalalandsynth I remember that there were some issues with the „regular“ convolution module… Cubase offline processing etc. And I also remember @Christoph-Hart mentioning that he wanted to use the JUCE convolution DSP module going forward, etc. So I was just wondering what the scriptnode modules actually are…

You can also use oversampling on the entire HISE graph with this:
https://docs.hise.audio/scripting/scripting-api/engine/index.html#setminimumsamplerate
But the convolution is the exact same module in scriptnode and as HISE effect.

@christoph-hart yeah. That’s what I did for my instrument. Added an HQ-button… what happens though if you set a distortion module to oversample and then also apply the global one?
