Problem: No MIDI is being received in new Codegen
-
Hi all, I managed to get the new Codegen to build (but I had to download Juce6, as the included Projucer didn't launch...)
Now HISE opens, but it behaves like this: I can see the key on the keyboard "moving", but no MIDI is registered on the MIDI activity icon. I checked the settings and my interface is recognized and set to Omni. Any ideas where the problem might be?
Thanks! -
@alepan Did you test it with a sinewave gen?
-
@d-healey
Quick edit: I closed/re-opened HISE. Now the midi activity icon blinks, but no audio can be heard. I'm using the Waveform Generator.
I just tried the sinewave gen, but I get nothing, not even the meters moving.
My UA Apollo is recognized and router correctly. -
@alepan Show audio settings in HISE. Are you hearing audio with scriptnode branch?
-
@d-healey
Yeah my the "old" scriptnode build works properly.
These are my settings:
I tried also changing the Samplerate, and using the Built-in speaker, but to no avail. -
Can this issue be related to the authorization to use the microphone? I don't see the new HISE app in the list of authorized applications.
In this case, how can I add it to the list? I can't see any "Add application" button... -
Not sure, but I noticed that it's disabled by default. Can you enable this in the Projucer, recompile HISE and check if it solves it?
-
@Christoph-Hart Ok, thanks I try it in a moment.
-
Not sure if this might be the problem... I'm no IT guy...
It says busIndex parameter is invalid
-
@Christoph-Hart Rebuilt with microphone Enabled, still can't get any sound.
I don't think it's a problem with my audio setup, because I can't even see the meters moving... MIDI is being received, but neither the waveform generator nor the sinewave generator work... I'm at a complete loss... -
Sorry to bother you guys, but do you have any suggestions on how I can proceed to get this solved?
Thanks a lot! :) -
Have you tried building the plugin version and check if the sounds work if you load it in a DAW?
-
@Christoph-Hart Nope, I'll try and let you know the result, thanks Christoph

Ok, problem solved: for some strange reason, the VST and ASIO SDKs disappeared from their correct location. I re-copied them and re-compiled, and now it seems to work as it should :)
Sorry if I made you waste some time to answer my absent-mindedness!
Cheers all!
