      Hi everyone,

      I have a bug appearing every time I load the VST for the first time in any DAW: After I install and decompress successfully the samples into a folder, I always get the error message "The sample directory does not exist."

      For some reason, I have to close the VST and open it again to make it work.

      Did anybody have the same error.

      I found in the HISE Scriptnode folder where the message is sent (ModulatorSamplerData.cpp on line 196):

      if (!monolithDirectory.isDirectory())
      {
      	sampler->getMainController()->sendOverlayMessage(DeactiveOverlay::State::CustomErrorMessage,
      		"The sample directory does not exist");

      	FRONTEND_ONLY(sampler->deleteAllSounds());

      	return;
      }

      Do I have to create a specific folder "Samples" along with the VST to not have that error?

        It's not a bug, it's just confusing ;-) I've made a thread about it, you can find the solution here: https://forum.hise.audio/topic/2006/the-sample-directory-does-not-exist-how-can-i-change-this-text/4

            Still, everytime I'm uploading a new version of the App and installing the samples, I hear no sounds. Once I close the VST and open it again, then it works.

            You guys has that issue before? It is kinda frustrating since I cannot reproduce that problem in HISE and I'm still not a JUCE Developer as of now.

              This is intentional. Don't you get this message after you've installed/located the samples?

                @d-healey

                This message only happens when I click on "Locate Sample Folder".

                When I'm installing, I only see "The Sample Directory does not exist".

                Still, the fact that you can't play right after installing or locating the samples, it's a bit of a hassle don't you think?

                Is there any way to fix that issue in HISE ?

                  @Alex-Paradis You'll need to ask @Christoph-Hart about this.

                    Hi. Sorry for my ignorance, but in this case, even after closing and reopening again, it still happens and the sound won't come out. I don't know why. Please help me.
                    I was so excited to show you guys my very first vst, but on every little achievement, there are other problems coming...
