Global LFOs don't want to start and crash Hise
-
In my project, I got 3 LFOs in a global modulator connected to 23 targets each, so 69 in total.
Everything is enabled via a matrix, so you can connect any LFO to any target (in fact it just switches ON the target), and enable/disable the LFO as well, nothing hard here...
But when I open back Hise or the exported instrument, Hise crashes as soon as I enable a target.
Also, when I'm going in the Global Modulator container, and I switch on the LFOs manually, they don't start at all.
If I want them to work I have to remove them and insert new ones so of course, I have to reconnect manually all the 69 targets, but if I quit Hise and start it again, the problem is still here... -
@Christoph-Hart
Ok, so if I initialise the project with the global LFOs already enabled, Hise doesn't crash when connecting the targets and everything is working fine.But if I save the project with the LFOs switched OFF, they don't want to start back again, and Hise crashes if I switch ON a target...

Again, the LFO doesn't start, and enabling the target causes Hise to crash
On the contrary, if you enable the LFO, save the preset, then close and re-open Hise, everything's back to normal. -

@Christoph-Hart Still nothing about this issue?
-
Sorry my time for HISE fixes is a bit limited right now, but maybe I can do it later this week.
-
It just was "later this week" :)
-
@Christoph-Hart Thanks a million!
-
@Christoph-Hart I thought you fixed the issue, but HISE still crashes when switching Global LFO ON when target is OFF...
-
Scriptnode?
-
@Christoph-Hart Yep the last one
-
Hmm, weird I can replicate it here with the Debug build. Not sure how this slipped through...
I'll take a look next week, shouldn't be too hard to fix.
-
Might be related. Bypassing a global LFO causes instant crash.

Bypassing a global LFO causes instant crash.
OK, fixed that one, I hope everything's smooth now when bypassing global mods...

@Christoph-Hart said in Global LFOs don't want to start and crash Hise:

Yey, seems to be working just fine. And a phase offset knob has
magicallyappeared. -
I seem to be having the same problem as @ustk , the global LFOs aren't moving when I reopen a project.
-
Well your snippet deactivates the LFO with the button callback of the interface :)
-
hmm actually in that snippet it seems to work fine when reloading the project and turning the LFO back on. I noticed the issue in an older project. I'll try removing the LFOs and re-adding and seeing if that fixes it.
