I recompiled my plugin with a minor change in the dsp network,
all the same project settings as before but the plugin suddenly has another cid in cubase
and all my past projects wont load it. it works fine if i reload it as a new plugin but it has a different id inside cubase.

there hasn't anything been changed platform wise, both were vst3, it's just made with a newer version of HISE...

anyone encountered this before and has any ideas how to fix?

      merry Christmas

@Morphoice Is this the 4-digit code in project settings, called Plugin Code?

Did you enter a custom one, or did you leave it as Abcd?

What are the 2 different CIDs that you see?

@dannytaurus it is and has always been a custom code that didn't change on recompiling. I paid extra attention on that. only the version number changed from 1.0.11 to 1.0.12

@dannytaurus how would I know? i have no idea how to display them, the cubase project files are binaries that can't be read with a text editor

@Morphoice How far apart were the versions of HISE you used to export?

According to what I can find in the source code, the only things that contribute to the plugin UUID are the Plugin Code and Plugin Name.

You already said you didn't change the plugin code, and I assume you didn't change the name, right?
