Would I store these files in the audio sub folder of the project? Does it make a difference?
The reason I ask is that I created a convolution reverb using an IR once before, and it stopped working after a few other edits.
Does it matter if they are aif or wav?

@pcs800 They should go in the project's AudioFiles folder

I always use wav files, but aif might also work.

@d-healey This was an aif, so maybe i will convert them to wav first.
