Paid 3rd party DSP licensing? (Eventide, Sinevibes, Audio Damage etc.)
-
Hey there!
I am currently in need of a good Synth Reverb (+ some other effects) and wanted to ask if anybody has ever bought DSP from companies like Sinevibes, Eventide, Audio Damage etc. and implement those into HISE.
Thing is i am working at Eventide currently, but i assume the prices for licensing will be out of my budget if i ask them for their models. Let me know if any of you had good experience with paid 3rd party DSP Effects that are possible to be distributed under closed source - or any free MIT libraries other than Airwindows (the FXs are neat but lack smooth interpolation most of the time).
thanks in advance :)

I've never done this before but I assume it would be fairly costly. They sell their own effects for not cheap...
I've almost finished developing a clone of the early eventide reverbs. If I'm done in a timely manner I'll message you.

@griffinboy would be highly apprechiated! :)

@Straticah the faust based FX are actually very good have you tried them?
-
@Lindon FAUST is great. What FX are you thinking about that would allow closed source?
-
@Straticah you would have to check the license in each case Im afraid...
-
@Lindon I did that a while ago for Reverbs and have not found anything better than freeverb or ZitaLight unfortunately...
-
Are you looking for a reverb that simulates a realistic room / hall, or rather an allpass based reverb such blackhole, or vintageverb?

I guess like the rest of us its just a matter of coding up your own then...

@Straticah This is an area I've been working towards writing stuff for. Maybe we can do a skills trade??
