Scriptnode graphics rendering time
-
I notice that if I am working on a large scriptnode network HISE slows down significantly. It seems related to Scriptnodes graphics since once I start collapsing nodes and containers, or moving parts into seperate networks, HISE will speed up. Still, is there any other advice experienced scriptnode users have for improving performance (or has this been touched on in the recent updates)?

@HISEnberg no, previously it was rendering the folded networks as well. I asked about this, Chris said that there's room for improvement but the first step was to disable rendering of folded nodes and for me that was workable though yes, it still goes through the parameters one by one

@aaronventure Thanks I didn't realize that the folded nodes are also being rendered. I guess the best solution is still to precompile certain aspects of the network and use those.

@HISEnberg no folded nodes are not rendered (anymore).
I found the graphics performance of scriptnode to be pretty much on par with what my eyes can parse. If the network is getting too big with too many cables, the framerate drop is a nice nudge to reorganize stuff (the tools are there).
