Save project as xml or .hip

Which version is the most reliable way to open a Hise project, xml or hip?

I opened the .hip version of a project just right now, and some of the new code I had written was lost, strange

@ulrik Always use 1 XML as your main project file. Use hip for little test projects.

There is a tool in the file menu to convert hip to XML, not sure how reliable it is though.

@ulrik yes I would also recommend XML. There's a non-zero chance that the files get corrupted (I think one reliable way of breaking XMLs was to use a " character in a component ID as this will mess up the XML parser, but all it takes to correct that is a online XML validator and a keyboard that has a Ctrl and a V button.
