Colours.red

Hi mates. I got very different reds within HISE and compiled standalone.
How can I get the same red?
Im doing just a simple Colours.red
Also tried 0xFFFF0000 but same results.
Any tip?// Función para dibujar los círculos en el panel inline function drawCircles(g) { g.beginLayer(1); for (j = 0; j < NUM_CIRCLES; j++) { local c = circles[j]; local size = c.baseSize * c.scale; local x = c.x + (c.baseSize - size) / 2; local y = c.y + (c.baseSize - size) / 2; g.setColour(Colours.withAlpha(Colours.red, 0.5)); g.fillEllipse([x, y, size, size]); } g.endLayer(); }

@hisefilo have you added a background panel coloured Black?
-
@Lindon nope. Just a png. Also without background i got the same results. Maybe it’s the alpha?
-
@Lindon you mean the solution is to add a black background? But I need it to be dark gray!
-
@hisefilo The colors of my plugins look a bit different in FL Studio and Ableton. A friend of mine had explained to me that each DAW (or software in general) uses a different color system (or something like that). He may be wrong anyway.
-
@bendurso yep and on top of that everyone uses a different colour profile, within a different monitor, at varying settings. There's really not much that can be done about colour accuracy. The same issue exists for digital artists using various devices and then various print methods and then displaying those prints in various environments. This is a maddening topic. You can really just work with the colour you like and then let it go, as long as the colours fit within the contrast and colour palette throughout your project, everything will look 'right'. orrrrrrr I suppose you could set up a bunch of if statements accounting for each possible output

the solution is to add a background - HISE is fibbing to you when it shows you the colours - because it applies a background - that isn't present in the compiled plugin - so this might be part of your problem - but in all cases add a background panel - and colour it whatever you want the background to be....
-
@Lindon Sadly nope! adding a panel with solid color did not change anything. I mention this color weirdness because is the first time i note it. I've made a lot of projects and never had this issue.

@hisefilo I think there are too many variables to test in your snippet. Try this snippet, do the colours look the same in the exported version with it?

@d-healey Anyway! I can live with that but I still wondering why
