Custom / Scripted Envelope
-
I'm using an AHDSR Envelope to control Pitch so that users can do fun things like program pitch bends. However, if the Amp Envelope Release is long enough, then the sound pitches back to it's root note, which isn't the behaviour I'm looking for.
I think I want an envelope with no release, or infinite sustain, I don't know
I see there's a Script Envelope but also saw @Christoph-Hart say it shouldn't be used.
Could Script Node do this? Can you use Script Node outside of the FX chain?

What about a table envelope?

@d-healey does the same thing, release snaps back to original pitch

@DanH Oh wait, not if I set it at 20000.... (it will eventually!). Ok this cld work
Thanks!

@d-healey Ok it's not quite what I'm after. It's nice to have the AHDSR controls. Let me know any other ideas if you can!

@DanH I'm having the exact same problem, have you ever figured out a solution? the Table release works long enough for the pitch thingy, but I also need a sustain parameter which it does not have
The standard adhsr envelope could use a bit more flexibility and longer timing. Also the release slope is not controllable ;(

@Morphoice I didn't no, the envelopes do some funny things in Hise. It would be good to get these straightened out once and for all as it makes synth programming a bit of a nightmare... I'll come back with some other issues asap

@DanH my thoughts exactly.... I just suggested it to Christoph in another thread. Release curve control seems to be a common demand and would be super useful
