How do I save user-generated data?

How do I save user-generated data like sequences, arpeggio patterns or chord shapes?

I don't want it to be part of the user preset.

I want users to be able to load synth sounds as usual from the preset browser but in the UI somewhere I want them to be able to load other saved data.
