is it just me or do the loop xfades not work?
-
@gryphonsegg Can you post a screenshot?
In general I try to get a perfect loop without using crossfades and only add the crossfade as a last resort. This isn't because the crossfade doesn't work, I'm just trying to avoid the comb filtering effect when crossfading. The auto loop finder tool is a great help here.
-
@d-healey well, the loop fade does not work at 2 or at 20 or at 200. how is that supposed to be set to make it do an actual fade? No offense but romplur does a better job at fading the loop points.
-
@gryphonsegg sorry, wasnt trying to be rude, just frustrated
-
@gryphonsegg I believe the value is in samples not milliseconds, so you'll probably want to start with a value of 500 or higher
-
@d-healey nope. clicks and pops every time the loop comes around and I tried it all the way from 500 to 5000
-
@gryphonsegg and I set the auto loop thingy as well.
-
@gryphonsegg I can see the fade and everything but it does not sdtop the pos or anything. there is just no audible fade
-
@gryphonsegg its ok. Ill sort it out
-
@gryphonsegg How did you solve the problem? I have the same issue. Thank you very much. :-)
-
@Oli-Ullmann Can you post a video demonstrating it?
-
@gryphonsegg I just found a solution that works for me. I had to save the sample map first. After that xFade worked.
-
@d-healey I will! I'll be back in the studio on Thursday and then create a video demonstration. I also created a post about the issue in the "BugReports" section to inform Christoph about the behavior. Here is the link:
Sampler xFade
All the best

@Oli-Ullmann thanks I will try that!

@gryphonsegg What I also noticed is that when I export the project as VST3, the plugin crashes when I use "xFade". The solution for this was to compress the sample content. (Convert sample map to HLAC monolith) Then everything works! :-)
All the best
