Purge samples?

Hi all, I can see there's a purge option in the sampler. I can't see any reference to this in the scripting docs, I'm wondering if there's a way to purge samples that aren't currently in use? I've got 2 duplicate layers where up to 100 sample maps can be selected from (there's 1 sample in each map) but I'd like to purge the other 99 maps/samples not in use for that given layer. Any advice would be appreciated! :)

@paper_lung If a sample map isn't loaded then it's not taking up any RAM.
