CC learn breaking plugins and app

So I have a couple of beta testers (and only a couple) who are having problems with MIDI CC learn...

Basically they midi learn 3 controls and its fine - but as soon as they try and learn a 4th control the app crashes, with this output:

Apparently its doing this consistently , I (on the other hand) cannot for the life of me get it to fail in this way...any one have any experience with this sort of thing?

@Lindon Let me test our plugin and app.
Question : Are you referring to the Right-Click Learn/Assign CC as it shows up in HISE.
Those options do not show up in Reaper or Abelton.

Should they ?

Are you using the latest develop branch? Christoph pushed a fix for a MIDI learn issue yesterday

Err, I think that was a different problem...i.e. the assign multiple params to a singe CC

Despite the title apparently its not breaking the plugin, just the stand alone app.

@Lindon Right, but the cc system was totally overhauled last June (which introduced the but Christoph fixed the other day) so perhaps your bug was fixed last June.

--er they dont - I think-

no this is: assign CC14 to control 1, assign CC15 to control no.2, assign CC16 to control no.3, assign cc17 to control no. 4 -- crash.

yeah me too - in fact - if you read the original post - I cant even recreate this problem, so I would have no idea if my minimal example would even be that.

Find out what their setup is, OS, DAW, hardware, see if you can get something approximating it, I think the only way you'll be able to debug this is if you can recreate it.

@d-healey - dont need DAW apparently - its working fine in the DAW - so its not actually the plug-in code thats failing - I'm thinking its a MIDI Device driver issue...

Could be, or possibly the hardware itself. My MIDI keyboard does this annoying thing where it outputs on 2 channels at once and I get some weird behavior.

Ask them to unplug their MID keyboard and assign the CCs from the right click menu (rather than MIDI learn) and see if the issue is still there.
