Simple gain pan modulation issue
-
I have a MIDI controller global mod. This is assigned to the pan modulation of a simple gain.
The balance knob of the simple gain is set to 100R - this is needed for the pan modulation to do anything.
The modulator is set to 100% intensity (same as 100R).
If I have the modulation table set to uni-polar the right channel is always 100% but I can vary the left channel - this is as expected.
So I set the table to bi-polar so that I can pan left to right across the range of the table. The problem is that in this mode the table values go from 300L to 100R. Instead of 100L to 100R, why is this and how can I fix it?
Also @Christoph-Hart tables are showing two floating values boxes in HISE, think this is a recent bug.

@d-healey The pan modulation on the simple gain module has been bugged for a while. We ended up just building a really basic scriptnode module and modulating the pan that way via the HardcodedMasterFX modulation chain.
Christoph and I have been over this and he doesn't want to change the pan modulation, so my workaround was to link the pan parameter to a knob from 0 to 1 (rather than -1 to 1) and then the unipolar modulation works as expected. You'll also have a bit more flexibility with the type of pan curve with scriptnode.

@Casey-Kolb It works for me, just visually the table range is weird. I can compensate for this with my value display but I'd like to know why it is what it is.
-
Sure I‘ll take a look, but it seems to be only a UI glitch, right?

@Christoph-Hart Yeah just the visual range goes from 300-100 instead of 100-100 when used in bipolar mode.
