Wavetable - idiots guide

OK so I'm thinking of trying the wavetable again - and all I can do is make it crash - so I suspect its something I'm doing wrong...I'm back on the Master branch by the way - can anyone give me some guidance on how to set it up to use?

If I can remember,
You cant create the waveforms in the Master Branch.. it will crash.

You have to create in the developer branch 1st, then you can go back to
the master branch and continue working.
