GNU GPL licensed so not compatible with HISE commercial proprietary license.
-
@d-healey I haven't searched deeply but I think there are different libraries available
-
@ustk I just looked at the one linked to by dustbro
-
If we can add FAUST, this library is included

@dustbro I thought it was third party... Getting it would be an absolute 2022 bomb! :love-you_gesture:
-
I noticed in the last commit that there seems to be a SOUL node included, if it does work then there is a chance this could work:
Hybridizing FAUST and SOUL at ADC 2019 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd7hggLvp-g 20
some tools here: https://github.com/grame-cncm/faust/tree/master-dev/architecture/soul 12
using the Faust Web IDE 12 and exporting to SOUL:

@Brian I was under the impression that @Christoph-Hart had sorta abandoned the idea of a SOUL/HISE integration and that this is a remnant of an early integration attempt that will not be pursued.
I might be totally wrong of course. Also, from listening in on the Audio Programmer's discord and JUCE/Roli development of recent months, I understood that SOUL and JUCE development was being questioned. But I think they are planning to announce SOUL news in the near future!
Also Elementary.Audio would be an interesting candidate to integrate. Although licensing at this point is certainly not compatible with HISE!

I think you are right
-
@d-healey Yeah. That’s the one…
-
I've been putting off learning Faust but if it's added to HISE...
-
@iamlamprey The Wave-Digital Modeling library would save me weeks of calculating differential equations and transfer functions
-
@dustbro and so much easier to approach...
-
@UrsBollhalder and fellow dev masters, I am definitely late to the party and didn't know SOUL was already defunct
@dustbro are you using JUCE for your DSP design? If so you could try using the Faust export to JUCE feature as a test.

I'm currently using Matlab/Octave and SPICE for dsp development. The inclusion of FAUST would make a one stop shop where I can prototype and export my creations. Life changing :)
