Big Sur Question...

@Christoph-Hart so if i compile an AU it will work with Logic mac m1? because I still have the same problem. rosetta does not run the audio units under logic. the one who tells me that it works is a liar ^^ I will have to buy a mac air m1 just to natively compile audio units ...

You can natively compile for M1 on Intel.
-
@d-healey but I think the audio units don't work because of a certain flag not being set unless it's compiled on M1
-
-
@d-healey yes but not the audio units under logic only. it seems logical. logic is owned by apple. but if we can now compile from m1 it should work
-
@d-healey if the plugins and vst work with mac m1. on all software not belonging to apple. fl studio and ableton vst work as well as audio units. it's just logic pro which doesn't support non-native AUs. but now that we can compile from m1 it will work. I'm buying an m1 soon to try. but a quick question, if i compile my audio units with m1, will they work on intel? because if that doesn't work I would have to compile on 2 different systems.

I have been getting these errors. Not too savvy with Xcode so I don't know what's going on.
Piggybacking off of Bob's post since the discussion is going again. :)

@Christoph-Hart I have to agree with @DarylWise. I have had no luck building my finished project. I was able to get HISE to compile using JUCE 6, but no luck after that.
-
@yall I just spoke to a developer who's released a HISE built library. They built their AU on an Intel system and it is running fine in Logic on an M1 system under Rosetta.
-
@d-healey I'm curious how they did it. because even my notarized plugins do not work in logic m1
