What is eco mode?

Just noticed this parameter, what does it do?

Something ancient - I think it just creates a mod value at the start and end of buffer and interpolates between them, but this predates the HISE_EVENT_RASTER logic which downsamples the modulation signal so the performance gains might be irrelevant by now.
