Before I dive down another rabbit hole...a questions about slider packs!

So I know what I want to do and I've had a search of the forums and a read and to me its not clear if it possible so before I go about breaking my mind and probably project again is this possible:

Using a slider pack as a graphical way to adjust sample volume over time as a sample plays through that sample?

Imagine you've got a view of your audio file above and your slider pack below it and this then allows you to add volume variation and automation within the plugin rather than in your dawn, think a number of pro companies have done this sort of thing with various things

Does any of that make sense?

@JamesC wouldn't you want to use a table instead? This allows you to use fades instead of the steps of the slider pack.

add a 'Gain Modulation' module and choose 'Table Envelope'.
