Sample player plugin not making sound
-
@d-healey
Ok cool, now...
My inno setup is using sample source Documents\HISE Projects\project name\Samples* as the source.
Where do I have it place the samples?
Or, as we discussed before, it is my choice, which I define in the LinkWindows file?
And, if that is the case...
The LinkWindows file needs to be in "{userappdata}\Project name
Is that correct? -
@pcs800 I got it working!
So I will use what I've done so far in Hise, and inno, as templates for the other plugin I plan to build.
You're one heck of a help, d.healy -
@d-healey
A new issue...
Since this is all working now, I wanted to add a second set of samples that trigger from 0-64 vel. And adjust the current sample to play from 65-127 vel.
So, I added them and I get no sound in Hise from the 0-64, but I do get sound from the 65-127.
Is there something else I need to do in order to enable multisamples? -
-
@d-healey I first put the new samples into the project samples folder, then I drag/dropped them from there (windows explorer) to the sampler editor in Hise. Same as I did for the first ones.
-
@pcs800 Are you including them in the same sample map as the previous ones or in a separate sample map/sampler?
-
@d-healey The same map
-
-
@pcs800 Interesting. What happens if you extend one of the upper samples down to velocity 0 and play it at a lower velocity?
-
@d-healey It works at any velocity if i do that
-
@pcs800 Have you tried restarting HISE?
-
@d-healey Not until you said that, but now I have and it makes no difference.
-
@pcs800 Can you send me your project?
-
@d-healey Sure, how o I do that? Zip the entire thing and upload to google drive?
-
@pcs800 Yeah that's probably the simplest way
-
@d-healey I will PM you the link in a second
-
So this is caused by the filenames. Your lower velocity filenames all have the extension capitalised
.WAV
which for some reason HISE doesn't like (I remember Lindon brought this issue up a while ago).So you need to rename your samples with
.wav
and update the names in the sample map. -
@d-healey Oh, well that is simple enough. I will try it.
-
@d-healey That worked, thank you very much....again.
