Routing Matrix for 9 Samplers, Insert & Send FX.
-
Can somebody help me figure out how to set up my routing matrix for 16 outputs? I keep trying to change the amount of channels the modules have but for some reason my master container wont let me change HISE output to anything more than 2 channels.
I have 'force stereo output' not checked.
I right click in the routing matrix to bring up the dialog menu for channels but it doesnt change the 'HISE Output' channel amount.
also....
...for my Insert FX "Dynamics 1' within my master container wont allow me to connect all channels. What am I doing wrong?

@Chazrox The master out will always be two in HISE unless you have a sound card with more outputs. However when compiled as a plugin it will have the number of outputs you set at the master container level. For testing the routing in HISE you can add a container within the master container and pretend that is the master container.

@d-healey Thank you. What about my insert FX in my master container? As of now they only affect the first stereo pair but I want them to be 'Master FX'. How do I route them so that even though each sampler will have separate master outputs, they'll all be first affected by my master fx chain?

- you cant. The Master effects chain is just that: in one end out the other for everything - you would need to have instrument(Sampler) level effects for what you are proposing I think, or use Send effects

@Lindon i'll be thinking about this one...Thank you.

Most (all?) the built in effects only accept stereo input/output, so you would need to duplicate them for each stereo pair. Or use send effects if appropriate.

@d-healey Ok. I was thinking that was gonna be the solution after all. Here I go. Thanks again.

@Chazrox I notice some of your effects are script effects. For those you should be able to add additional inputs/outputs within the network - perhaps the clone container would be useful here.

@d-healey reading up on that now!
