    • RE: Synthesis parameters

      Thanks, Christoph.

I'm thinking about HISE as a future sampling and synthesis playground, for sharing instruments with other users. The important sampling aspects look to already be in place and just a few additions to the synthesis could make HISE very attractive to a wide range of users, likely generating more interest in HISE from end users like myself.

    • RE: Synthesis features

Thanks Christoph. Obviously I still have a lot of exploring to do in HISE. And I haven't even touched scripting yet.

Also, opening up the wavetable oscillator for end user configuration would be nice.

    • RE: Website: Instruments Showcase

d.healy and Christoph, have either of you completed an instrument libary to date? Are there other instruments libraries available for HISE yet?

    • Synthesis features

I know that the priority of HISE is around sampling, but please also consider the possibilities of HISE being used as a modular synthesis (and sampling) environment. Adding a few synthesis features could put HISE into the realm of being used as a modular synth. I mentioned a couple of features in another thread, but I'll restate them here, maybe adding more as I explore HISE from the perspective of using it as a modular synth.

      Oscillator sync.
      Pulse width.
Modulation routing (for example, single LFO modulating multiple parameters)
      All parameters modulatable.
      Comb filter type.

Can pulse width of a square wave somehow be adjusted for the waveform generator?

Is it currently possible to sync oscillators?

      Thanks.

    • RE: Forum problem. Error: You do not have enough priveleges for this action

d.healey, I'm not aware of Mozilla sharing user info with Google. Do you have a link for anything about that?

Midori is not stable here on Windows.

d.healey, it could be. I have tried Firefox and K-meleon so far. Especially for a browser, I prefer using free software because of privacy issues with browsers by big companies.

    • RE: Linux build of HISE

I haven't tried sfz files yet in HISE (just about to do that now), but here are a lot of sfz files that might be worth looking at: http://www.bandshed.net/sounds/sfz/ I got the link from a post by J_e_f_f_g at linuxmusicians.com

Have you considered other forum sofware? Vanilla forum and Fluxbb are both GPL licensed, lightweight, and seem to work well on other sites.

I think what is going on is a js issue. Just now when hitting submit I got an error saying that as a new user I can only submit a reply every 120 seconds. I'm using a different browser, and in Firefox I think that I was seeing a generic error message in place of this 120 second error message. But in this browser, the compose area at the bottom of the screen is still being cut off.

    • RE: Forum problem. Error: You do not have enough priveleges for this action

A couple of times when replying, the category wasn't selected, and clicking the dropdown wouldn't actually allow the dropdown menu to appear. Other times, the category was selected, but I still got the error message of not having enough priveleges.

As I was typing this message in Firefox, the compose area was cutoff by the Windows taskbar, and I had to hit F11 to go fullscreen to see the full compose area. I'll have to break this message up...
