Hello everybody, total newbie on Hise, looks like a very good place...
As sais in the title I wonder if Hise is the good plateform for me.
I NEED to create a custom percussion sampler for a futur commercial e-drum product (check here on facebook : https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090543753335 ;
or here on VDrums : https://www.vdrums.com/forum/general/products/1279932-new-pad-electronic-conga-djembe).
I tried to use SFIZZ (SFZ player) that is now part of Synthedit (which I know quite well), but after some time spent to really be sure eveyrthing can be handle I must give up. SFZ format don't allow enough things (no way to let the user set custom notes, no way to handle correctly cymbal chokes, etc).
So now I have two possibilities, Kontakt or Hise. I wonder if Hise is really the good plateform for me and for my project. So I have few questions to help me choose between those two pateforms. I'm not a master at coding, but I'm very motivated. I just want to be sure I will not threw away hundreds hours of work on Hise to finally go to Kontakt...

My sampler will not necessarilly be commercial, but in case it will stay in GPU, I'd like that my samples stay protected. Is there a way to encrypted securely our samples in Hise ?

Is there a RAM mode ? I see that Hise can do Disk streaming, but beeing an Edrum project, RAM is the way to go.

Are ployphonic aftertouch supported ? And could they be used to mute a sound and trigger a mute tail sample (like cymbal coke) ? It's mandatory for my project. I guess it is supported and I can already see the power of the midi editor, just want to be sure.

Is there a drum sampler in GPU that I could use as a template for my project ?
Thanks a lot for answering those questions, see you soon.
