Solved Compressed sample map is screwed up
-
I just converted one of my sample maps to a monolith and it's all messed up. Two of the mic positions seem to be triggering later than the other and are quieter, and there's all kinds of glitchyness. The other sample maps in the project don't seem to have any issues.
I made a video demonstrating the well behaved samples, and the messed up ones after conversion.

@d-healey make sure that there isn‘t a mismatch between the monolith and the samplemap (maybe you end up with attaching the sample data to an existing file or something like that).
If you can reproduce this with a particular samplemap let me know then I‘ll take a look.

Yep, I did it in the video. I don't notice anything unusual in the sample map xml.
I just moved the sample map and samples to a fresh project and tried again but same issue. I'll upload the mini project now and DM you the link. Thanks!

@d-healey I had the same thing, and that fix did the trick for me. Oddly enough, I think it was you who suggested it.

@d-healey I had edited the sample maps manually. I went back and had HISE do it automatically, and it was OK. (If I'm remembering correctly.) As to why it only affected Monolith - I don't know…there was some other bit in there…sorry, I can't recall. Maybe I'm conflating two different things.

I haven't done that in this case.

@d-healey My bad.

@Christoph-Hart @clevername27 Well I remapped the samples and now it seems to be fine...
I think what happened is I didn't change the sample map, but I did change some of the samples and accidentally didn't keep the mic positions in sync so some samples were shorter than others, since I'd already mapped them HISE didn't complain about the length mismatch but it showed up as an issue once the monoliths were created.
