@treynterrio I think you need to step back and figure out what each part of your code is doing. It seems like you are guessing each time you make a change instead of knowing what the change you are making will do and why you're doing it.
Make a new project, add two buttons. Make the first button when clicked write some text to a file, make the second button when clicked read the text from the file and display it in the Console (or a label if you prefer).
Don't copy/paste code from your other project/snippets, start fresh, using the documentation to guide you.

@d-healey I did that already I had this one project where it worked I've export it and tried it in ableton but when I tried this in my Main project nothing was working anymore. I'm trying to get this done for 2 days straight now

It's also not what I suggested you do...
I said two buttons, one to write a value to a file, one to read a value from the file - no input label required. Let's get this to the most basic thing we can. Once you're in control of your code you'll be able to integrate it into your main project, but we have to get the basics down.

@treynterrio You're reading the data in the same button callback that you're writing the data.

@treynterrio You want to load the file when the plugin is opened not when the button is clicked. Currently your loadInitialData function is only called when the button is clicked.
