I hope I am just doing something silly but I can't seem to get the Read Only Factory Presets working correctly - or at least in the way I understood they should work.

If I leave the setting unchecked then all presets are editable in the built plugin and a user can overwrite a factory plugin (which isn't great IMO) but they can add new banks & presets (which is good)

If I check the setting then instead of the save button being greyed out as per the tooltip, it renders the save button unclickable which is fine, but it also takes away the ability to add new banks & presets as those buttons are no longer there., the rename and delete buttons are also gone.

My understanding was that checking the box would make it so the original/factory presets would be uneditable but users would still be able to add/delete their own alongside them.

Have I misunderstood what this flag does? Is there another step I need to do inside HISE to make this work as I mentioned above? Or am I just being really stupid and missing something obvious?

@rzrsharpeprod are you sure you can't add new 'banks' specifically column 1 in a 3 column browser?

I'm only using 2 columns, not 3. Could that be why?

I'll try it with 3 and see of that solves it

Yeah it's strange, I'll see if what @d-healey suggested has any effect on it - hopefully it will

@d-healey Turns out you were kinda right and I had done something stupid.

When I changed the preset browser from 3 to 2 columns I just left the default widths as 3 x 0.33333
It didn't seem to matter as it worked fine in HISE but in a built plugin it was doing what I described in my OP.

After your suggestion I flicked it back to 3 columns, re-exported and sure enough the factory presets weren't editable & the add buttons were there as they should be.

I then changed it back to 2 columns but set the widths to 2 x 0.5 and when I re-exported it this time it was also working correctly.

Glad I have that sorted as it was really bugging me. Thanks for the assist
