Polyphonic filter outside a synth group?
-
Hello,
Can a polyphonic filter be used outside a synth group?
I had a few polyfilters set up in a few diffrent synth groups (so much CPU burning) and decided to condense them into one and move it up to the main area (outside the synth group), but now it does not work properly even though it still says polyfilter on the body of the processor.
I read a post by @Christoph-Hart explaining how the poly and the mono differ. But can I use one in the main signal chain? And if so, how do I set it up?

@RastaChess Do you mean in the master chain section? I don't think this is possible. Is the goal to have multiple sound generators filtered by one, polyphonic filter? If so you probably want to use a Syntesizer Group.

@modularsamples kind of.
Multiple Synthesizer Groups filter by one processor (with ADSR mod and Velocity mod)
Ideally it should be done with a single synth group, but I find that doing so limits things a bit. For example, I haven't found a way to independently transpose grouped voices beyond one octave. (which is kind of essential) The hardwired transposition script affects all voices when applied to the group. Other modulation pathways only go up to an octave. So is suppose that is one sidekick question to this post;- How do you independently transpose Synth-Grouped voices (synths, samplers, etc) by up to at least 3 octaves?
In any case, the idea is to reduce cpu gobbling.
