Voice Kill Fade Time Per Mic Channel?
-
Hello!
I noticed this phenomenon while sampling drums. If an open hi hat is played, then quickly followed by a closed hi hat, the close mic sounds a lot like the way choke groups work with a relatively quick fade time between the open and closed hi hat sounds.
However, the room mics sound like they have a longer fade time since the reverberation of the first open hit is still ringing out by the time the closed hi hat is played. Is there a way to have these independent choke fade times per mic channel in HISE to simulate this behavior? This could also be a really good feature for toms and other resonant drums.

@ericchesek I'm afraid that's not possible - the mic positions are supposed to be treated equally and it might cause some weird side effects when you hit the voice limit and some mic positions are done playing and others aren't.

@Christoph-Hart Bummer... What if the multimic samples are extracted to singlemic samples? Do the singlemic samples then lose their channel routing?

@ericchesek I think the only solution would be to put single mic samples in separate samples and manage the multi-mic stuff manually (just like in Kontakt)
