HISE Auto Trim demonstration

A video demonstrating one of my favourite features of HISE.

Great video! It‘s been a while since I‘ve been mapping samples myself but it really looks fun ;)
Btw have you processed the sustain samples against phasing? I found clarinets to be particularly sensitive (which is why I chose rhis instrument for my bachelor thesis back in the days)
I‘ll take a look at the few glitches you described in the video - the missing display group popup should be trivial but the playing cursor is currently on sampler level which is why it shows it only on the first active sample. I need to rewrite this to be per sample but this shouldn‘t be too hard.
Also I think I need to apply the trimming the samples when you export them to HLAC monoliths. Not because of space, but if the sample start is not a multiple of 4096 you get a slight performance hit and this should not be the case if you don‘t modulate the start offset.

I haven't done any kind of phase alignment. I did a lot of manual tuning though (which took forever) and there doesn't seem to be any major phasing issues. There is some chorusing on some notes during crossfades but I can live with it. Also there is some natural phasing between the mic position which helps to mask any chorusing and phasing during crossfades.

The group popup is a weird issue that's been hanging around and I got used to. The play cursor never really bothered me, just confused me the first time I didn't see it when I expected to.
