FL Studio midi problem
-
@d-healey I'm using the default master branch. Should I be using develop branch instead?
-
@pushkin I also have noticed the same thing in FL Studio. Here is my thread that I created earlier.
https://forum.hise.audio/topic/7233/compiled-plugins-weird-sound-missing-notes/5?_=1687809550800Here you will see I have 16 notes pattern but some notes are skipping. This is a strange issue.

sounds like this same issue https://forum.hise.audio/topic/7491/note-release-randomly-gets-stuck?_=1687811651631

Hi,
I've searched for this problem on the forum but couldn't find a solution.
I'm very new to HISE and I'm trying to make my first very basic synth. Everything seems to work fine after compiling but if I load the plugin in FL Studio and write some notes in the piano roll, the plugin sometimes either skips a note or triggers a sustain note that can't be stopped. I loaded the plugin in Reaper and there it seems to work fine. Does anyone have an idea of what the cause could be?
This is pretty much the same thing that is happening to me and I have been working through with the help of others in this thread https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1065/sample-not-triggered-if-midi-overlaps/73
Mine is dropping notes in FL but plays fine in Ableton when I tested so it sounds like a very similar issue.
I am going to rebuild HISE with the latest version later when I get home and see if that solves the issue

Yes very similar problem. Checking the "Align tick lengths" in FL audio options seem to have fixed the problem.

I'll try that to see if that may fix the problem.

It happens here without overlapping notes.
-
@pushkin that didnt resolve the issue for me but it did reduce the amount of times the stuck note occured
-
@Adam_G Ah, that could be. I just tested it for a few minutes where it didn't occur. I'm going to try and compile using the current develop branch and see if that makes any difference. You were able to compile a plugin that didn't have that bug using an older branch?
-
@pushkin yes from october 2022
-
@Adam_G Cool, thanks for the info. If the problem still persists using develop branch I know what to do.

I got the latest version from Git last nigh but it didn't solve the problem unfortunately.
However selecting Align Tick Lengths in FL did get rid of the issue I was having. Also explains why it wasn't happening in Ableton too.

Where exactly is this setting in Fl Studio, please? I am having trouble locating it.

@gorangrooves Found it. For anyone else looking, it is in:
top menu Options-> Audio Settings-> CPU-> Align Tick Lengths

Apologies I've only just seen this. Glad you found the setting though
