Is it possible to build say an 8 voice sampler and treat each voice in a different way? Restricting the polyphony to these 8 voices?

So allocate voice 1 to sampler 1 etc.
Each sampler has its own filter, lfo etc.

@lalalandsynth I don't know but, I've built a 5 voice synth, not sampler though but I guess it would be the same concept.
The way I did it was using 5 different midi channels and in the note on callback split the notes so that only 1, of all pressed keys, would trigger the first Synth etc..
Is it something like that you want to accomplish?

@ulrik That sounds like something that would work.
Wonder if there is a simpler inbuilt method ?

@lalalandsynth not sure if it works, but if you set all RR groups to 9 and only put in a sample in a single group (so sampler 1 has a sample in RR group 1, sampler two has a single sample in RR group 2 etc) you might get your voice allocation across multiple samplers.
