InnoSetup Question
-
So my Windows account is simply called 'Admin' and I've been creating installers using 'Admin' in the paths to install additional Data files etc in the plugin AppFolder. I'm now guessing this might be the wrong way to do it - I think I assumed 'Admin' was a default setting, but I guess if a user has a different account name then the files won't be going where they should be!
On OSX you can use '$HOME to get round this - is there a Windows equivalent?
Thanks

@danh look into Inno setup documentation, you can find a section call 'Constants' IIRC where you can find the constant for the user folder
-
@danh I think it's something like, %Users%

Thanks - almost found what I am looking for. In the Inno Docs it has two options:{userappdata} & {commonappdata}
The path to the Application Data folder.
If I use {commonappdata} it doesn't install properly. If I use {userappdata} it works but I get a warning (in InnoSetup) about 'admin' and 'per-user' areas which I think has something to do with being logged in as an Administrator.
So which method is better to use for general use?

@danh I'm using userappdata and ignore the admin warning.
Just give it a test on a couple different rigs to make sure its functioning properly -
@dustbro Thanks mate, this is what I figured, users testing now, cheers!
