Is it possible to use a Global Time Variant Modulator to modulate parameters in Scriptnode? Or do I need to build my own?

@danh Yes. It works well. Just use the global_mod node and match the knob to your global modulator's position in the module tree.

@crd Ok thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ So do you mean match the index knob to the GM position? Also does the node need to be in a modulation container?

@danh Yes and it does not need to be in a modulation container but maybe there are some instances where you would put it in one.

@crd finally got round to implementing this properly, the Global Modulator isn't working in the compiled FX plugin. Does it work for you?!

@DanH Do you have Sound Generator enabled?

If I remember correct you need to have it enabled

                        Ok next problem ๐Ÿ˜†

In HISE all is well - in the compiled FX Plugin not so much:

In my FX project I have a normal stock filter FX with an LFO modulating the frequency. This works perfectly.

I then have another Scriptnode filter FX which uses a Global Modulator LFO to modulate the frequency.

On my Mac both the stock LFO and the Global Modulator are perfectly in sync, tested in Logic and Ableton. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

On my PC it's a different story. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป The Global Modulator is synced to a random time and totally out of sync with the stock LFO (which is correct). What's even more weird is that it's different in each DAW, FL Studio, Bitwig and Ableton. The rate changes depending on which DAW you're in ๐Ÿ˜‚

                        Anyone else experienced this?

@DanH @Christoph-Hart any ideas? ๐Ÿ™ I stuck it all in a Fix 8 container but it didn't make any difference...

@DanH can you make a small snippet ? A transport function could be a workaround...

@Matt_SF made a minimal project and tested the compiled plugin. It works. It's a much more simplifies version of what I had going on so I'll see if I can work out what was buggin it out...

@Matt_SF actually I take it back - it didn't work! Here's a snippet and a link to the .vst3 windows plugin file if anyone wants to see. The issue only appears in the compiled FX plugin on Windows (OSX fine).

It would seem as though the Global Modulator runs at 2 x the speed of the normal LFO in Ableton. In Bitwig it's something else, random. I do wonder if there's an issue with Global Modulators on Windows for FX Plugins.

I removed any scriptnode stuff, so it's just two filters, one with a normal LFO and the other connected to the GM LFO.

Would be grateful if anyone could look it over or confirm the issue ๐Ÿ™‚
