IPP & DEVELOP

@d-healey really? Even back on Mojave, pre M1 etc?
-
@danh As far as I'm aware. It will use Apple's own convolution routines instead which are comparable to Intel's.
-
@d-healey Trying to build Develop on OSX Mojave with IPP enabled and running into errors.
I copied the ipp paths from my Master branch Jucer project and set the hi_core setting to Enabled and to ipp = 1.
I don't think I've seen the error anywhere in the forum before. IPP was working perfectly on Master Branch btw.
Any help much appreciated!

@danh Don't use IPP on Mac, it's not needed.
-
@d-healey I'm getting a user reporting massive cpu consumption on a beast of a rig using my project without ipp. I want to try it out at least.
-
@danh Did you enable the multi-thread button on your convolution reverb?
-
@d-healey I'm using the analyser, no convolution reverbs. In any case these are errors trying to compile HISE, not export any plugin
-
@d-healey I'm going to see if its a version issue. My main machine is Mojave so I've installed a newer version of ipp on a computer running Big Sur. The paths seem to have changed - any idea where I might start looking for the installation path?! Searching 'intel', 'opt' or 'ipp' bears no fruit!
thanks!

No idea, I don't use IPP. Maybe it tells you the path it's installing it to when you run the installer?

@d-healey sorry, found some other paths I needed to copy over doh -
