Error on Github
-
It's not an error and it's not a HISE issue. You need to take this up with github, they seem to have changed the way the zip download works and now it always downloads the master branch (maybe it's always been that way and I never noticed) - this is the same for every repo I tried, not just HISE.
-
@MikeB Faced the same problem recently. Never struggled to download specific branches before, I don't know what changed.
The workaround to download a specific branch would be to use this link :
https://github.com/christophhart/HISE/archive/refs/heads/(String branchName)
And use "new_layout.zip" or "develop.zip" for the branchName.
EDIT: if you want to try the new-layout version : keep in mind that it will mess up your custom HISE layout if you have one (but it looks nice :star-struck:
).

@d-healey There is no blame in my hint
Only a hint that it is like this. :-) -
@MikeB I'd rather say the workaround is "never download as zip" but use git on your system (be it from the terminal or an app)

Already done.
I had to get my old layout from the backup.

That's where it will end - this damned high-tech stuff everywhere. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Matt_SF if I use your way to download "new_layout" and open the "standalone" version with the producer, it will complain that the module "stk_wrapper" could not be found
@Christoph-Hart ?
-
@ulrik I just thought I saw that somewhere in the last few days.
-
@MikeB Ahh, ok I try to compile without then, thank you!

-
@DanH Scroll up to Matt's answer, or use git.
-
@d-healey Thanks. New layout has come a long way!
