SliderPackIndex doesn't update on ComboBox Choice
-
I have a SliderPack assigned to an Arpeggiator and want my to be able to select the SliderPackIndex in a Combobox. Since the ComboBox returns a value (starting from 1), I thought I just put that in a Callback and subtract 1 for the value to get my correct Index numbers.
Although it does work, it only does so after I hit compile! It doesn't update it when I use the combobox. What am I missing?
Content.makeFrontInterface(600, 500); const var Knob1 = Content.getComponent("Knob1"); const var Arpeggiator1 = Synth.getMidiProcessor("Arpeggiator1"); const var SliderPack2 = Content.getComponent("SliderPack2"); const var SliderPack1 = Content.getComponent("SliderPack1"); SliderPack1.set("processorId", "Arpeggiator1"); const var ComboBox1 = Content.getComponent("ComboBox1"); inline function onComboBox1Control(component, value) { SliderPack1.set("SliderPackIndex", value-1); SliderPack1.showControl(true); Console.print(value-1); } Content.getComponent("ComboBox1").setControlCallback(onComboBox1Control); inline function onKnob1Control(component, value) { Arpeggiator1.setAttribute(2, value); SliderPack1.set("sliderAmount", value); SliderPack2.set("sliderAmount", value); }; Content.getComponent("Knob1").setControlCallback(onKnob1Control);

@UrsBollhalder you have to have some items attached to the combobox, like:
ComboBox1.set("items", ["index1", "index2", "index3", "index4"].join("\n"));
..or what you had in mind
What are you trying to do?
-
@ulrik I am trying to assign the SliderPack to display one of the slider packs of my arpeggiator. So either Note Numbers (Index no. 0), Velocity (Index on. 1), or Note Length (Index no. 2).
So my slider pack is assigned to the Arp, and I want my ComboBox to change that index number. And this it actually does but it doesn't update my slider pack immediately on the interface, but only after I hit compile...
I put the items in the property editor of my combobox... Note Numbers, Velocity and Length...

@UrsBollhalder yes, you're right, it doesn't respond at all, it doesn't react even if it's connected via the "Property Editor", strange.
I guess we have to call for @Christoph-Hart ! -
@UrsBollhalder you can have all 3 packs already connected and hide the 2 you don't want displayed

I guess we have to call for @Christoph-Hart !For me they respond - all three and do exactly what they should.
Do you have the current build?
-
@ulrik Yes. Thanks a lot. I thought of this too at first but then thought it might be more elegant to just have one element that switches depending on the set index! I’ll use this solution for now! Thx! U

its the only viable solution if you want to save your slider pack values in a preset.. well you could use a hidden panel and start assigning to its data object - but that's even less elegant than having 3 slider packs IMHO
-
@Lindon That’s good to know! Certainly want to save that in presets!
