Envelope as modulator - changes needed.
-
@lalalandsynth If you set the cutoff to 20kHz then you can use the table envelope to start/end at any point.
Script envelope doesn't need scriptnode.
Edit: actually maybe it does, I thought it was like a scripted voice start modulator but seems it's something else.
Edit2: Seems it used to be like the voice start modulator because that's what the docs show. -

2 Questions .

I am assuming you mean like this ?
This way I cannot get to to close properly , not full range.
-
Should the AR envelope affect the filter envelope like that ?
-
-
-
@d-healey This does not do anything over here ? I am starting to feel stupid .
-
I don't think your eyes have a refresh rate of 15ms :p Use your ears instead or increase the attack time.
-
@d-healey oh, I get it to work now .. this is a workaround in my opinion...but something ! quite fiddly.
Do you suggest then using a Filter cutoff knob connected to the first table value and switching over to the filter freq knob when the envelope is disengaged ?
-
@lalalandsynth You mean for front-end control for the user?
-
@d-healey Yes, a typical example I have in mind is to apply the ADSR/Vca envelope or a unique envelope to the filter ,with amount , while being able to use a cutoff knob for the filter. Thereby offsetting the whole thing.
-
Then I think your idea sounds fine.
-
Ok, trying that .
I am a bit obsessive ... :PEDIT: Turns out that the table cannot be used as realtime cutoff connected to a knob , jumps values while sweeping , very noticable from 0-1%.
Also , if you hold it long enough , it jumps to the top after the Attack stage is finished.
And for some reason , some poly issue the Simple envelope on the VCA affects the later table envelope . Dont really understand that.
This whole thing should be simpler to do.
Again, maybe an 0 offset control on the adsr , connected in this case to the filter.
Something like that , not sure what would be the best way.
