I'd really like to be able to read a preset file (i.e. myFavourite.preset) - its XML I know - and then be able to use only part of it - so in my case I have a 4 voice instrument - and I'd like the user to be able to set up (say) voice 1 and 3 to load a preset and voices 2 and 4 to stay unchanged... I took a look through the forum -cant see any way to do this now so is this a feature request?

You'd need to keep a kind of internal preset with the current state of the controls and then after the preset has been loaded you can restore the controls you don't want changed.
