Currently finishing the macOS installer project.
Does anyone know if it is possible to insert an image in the custom html files (Intro, Readme...)?
It works inside the project manager, but images don't show up in the final installer... -
@ustk Don't know! never tried, but can investigate later if it's needed.
-
@hisefilo Sure, it might have something to do with my legendary html skills
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <body> <div dir="ltr"> <h3 style="text-align: center;"><img src="COLLAB3-LOGO.png" alt="CollaB3"></h3> <p style="text-align: center;">THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING COLLAB!</p> <p style="text-align: center;">COLLAB3 IS A FREE VINTAGE TONEWHEEL EMULATION TO HELP MUSICIANS AND CREATIVES AROUND THE WORLD STAY HOME DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC WORLDWIDE QUARANTINE</p> </div> </body> </html>

@ustk Just a question about Leslie dsp. Trying to understand your diagram. Are you splitting horn and bass?? I see you are working on 2 chains for delays (if so I was wondering were to change the freq for bass. Maybe that'll add some chorale I really love
On both settings, the treble horn rotates slightly faster than the bass woofer; about 50 revolutions per minute (rpm) for "chorale" and 400 rpm for "tremolo", compared to the woofer's 40 rpm and 340 rpm respectively.
-
So the plugin is complete now? Shall I build the Windows version?
-
@hisefilo Of course they are split by the crossover (settings from original B3):
Woofer below 800Hz
Horn above 800Hz2 modulators for the 2 different speeds (settings from original B3):
Woofer Low 0.56Hz
Woofer Hi 5.66Hz
Horn Low 0.83Hz
Horn Hi 6.66HzThen the modulation has an added delay line so the level is not in phase with the doppler (should be a PI/2 relation but I adapted it by ear)
I added a bit more complexity for the horn with 2 modulation lines to improve stereoThe horn should always be faster than the woofer (both static speed and acceleration)
Everything is controlled by the ramps
What is exactly the freq you want to change? Or, what is you don't like?
There are not much we can change except crossover, doppler intensity (be careful it's tricky here as the behaviour changes with speed, if you amplify it quickly becomes a nasty vibrato), and modulated level changeThis might be where having an IR is important for the sound you seek ;)

@d-healey doing minor tweaks. and presets! I guess in 40 min will push
-
@hisefilo Be careful, until now all your presets are above 0dB so it's clipping here, don't forget to double click the Level knob ;)
-
BadaBing
Box should probably be bigger ?
-
@hisefilo I just pushed a new folder for macOS Packages project
Just place the 4CollaB3
files (Standalone/AU/VST/VST3) in theFiles
folder and build
I remove the two images from the Intro and Readme html (they should replace the titles), but they are still in theExtra
folder for a later solutionI'm back in 45min...
-
@ustk well LOL I was about to push some final tweaks. But created a new branch. Any one can merge both???? "final-tweaks" and "master" ??? I guess wont be any conflict
-
@hisefilo That's not a problem you merge on your side and we pull. I don't think anyone else is making modifications currently...
-
@hisefilo I've seen you modified the 3dB gain rule of the drawbars, the position 1 is almost shut and there's a big jump from pos 2 to 3
-
@ustk Yes, position 1,2,3 were so loud some classical timbres cant be made. So I changed that. I will fix the jump from 2 to 3
-
-
@ustk I never compiled VST3. this is necessary? If so, what is needed??? or can you just compile that??
-
@hisefilo no prob! Compiling and sending to you…
-
@hisefilo Before compiling, some preset are literally bursting the output and need to be lowered!
Also, don't forget to select the init preset before saving the project and compiling it!So you can adapt the preset level and then we can all compile the same version ;)
