Samplerate change = drastic sound change...
-
@Christoph-Hart When I change the sample rate in my synth (in Hise project or in the standalone instrument export) from 44.1 or 48, to 88.2 or 96, the sound changes drastically, like it is less defined at lower SR but in a very, very obvious way... I have good converters (Antelope Orion 32HD) and never seen that before. So how is that possible?
It seems to be an aliasing issue, but, what to do?
It appears even with a filter in the chain, so is it really aliasing, I am not sure... -
Audio example?

you can use the Tools > Record one second audio file method for that.. it records seven :) seconds of the current HISE output.

Thanks
I'd like to, but if the 44.1 is well exported, once I choose 96Khz and dump the audio, the dump file is set at 44.1 anyway so is half speed, hard to compare... -
So I utilised an external recorder:
44.1Khz
48Khz
88.2Khz
96Khz

Bump

Yeah that sounds weird. Is it just the stock waveform generator?

Absolutely, recorded directly from my interface (Antelope Orion 32HD) to the input of a ZOOM F2 set at 48Khz
