VST RAM Usage

If I export a plugin version of my HISE instrument, something I have yet to do, and load it into my DAW twice, will the two instances share the sample pool or will they each load the samples into RAM?

I am afraid they all have to load the samples into their own pool. Having a global sample pool across plugin instances is just asking for trouble (internally they are reference counted so if you duplicate a sample it won't get loaded twice).

Does KONTAKT have a global pool?

I thought that would be the case. With Kontakt I believe instruments can share the pool if they are loaded into the same instance of Kontakt but if they are separate instances then they each reload the samples.
