Pro Tools is not recognizing my AAX plugin.

Hi! Pro Tools is not recognizing my AAX plugin. I exported it from HISE and there were no apparent errors during the export, and I placed it in
/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/. However, it doesn’t show up in Pro Tools.Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks!

@lijas90 Are you using the developer version of ProTools?
-
@David-Healey No, I'm just using the standard free version of Pro Tools (Pro Tools Intro) that I downloaded from the Avid website. I don't have the developer version. Could that be the reason why my AAX plugin isn't showing up?
-
@lijas90 Yes if you don't have the developer version then it won't open in ProTools unless it's been signed by PACE's tool with your iLok.

@David-Healey Pff, that's too much for me... and from what I see, you have to pay $99 per year to be able to sign AAX plugins. Could someone sign them for me? It would only be two. Thanks David

@lijas90 Unless they've changed something recently, signing AAX plugins is free - except for the cost of the iLok
If you're making plugins for MacOS then you need an Apple developer account which costs $99/year and you need this for AU and VST3.
On Windows there are some free options for certificates for signing AAX.
It's not really something somebody else can do for you.

You have to be AVID signed developer to be able to compile your plugins on AAX (and run it). It's not so easy. Imho not worth it, since there is a way to open vst3 and au on ProTools. Most of the PT users know how to do this and don't bother finding the exact AAX format. So if you'll be selling/developing the plugin, VST3 & AU should be enough

@svkpowa thanks!
