Sorry to necro but just re-discovered this :| turning the arpeggiator on/off during note playback makes it stick
Edit: just found this
so probably fixes this issue as well :) (when it's pushed)

my GUI elements are now triggering note 89 @ 127 velocity, tried earlier versions of my project and they also do it now
clean install didnt change anything
edit: I disabled my MIDI keyboard, the MIDI LED indicator lights up when I press the GUI elements, there's nothing anywhere in my code (that I can think of) that would trigger this note randomly, and I think i would have noticed earlier if it was doing it so I think it's the latest update
