@si1n3rd I think you need to create the messages in one processor and send them in another, but I could be wrong.

I think @ulrik has made a MIDI plugin before though so might have some insight.

I could not see if you have enabled the MidiOut in the settings from the snippet however that needs to be enabled

Yes you need to have the MidiOut script one level below the main script, I have set it here in a container.

As soon as you want to manipulate an event you need to make the events artificial, meaning set in your interface script noteOn callback

I'm on Linux. Yes, I enabled Midi Out. VST3 FX is VST3 FX plugin with enabled MIDI input, there is such an option above Enable MIDI Out.

@si1n3rd MIDI FX is what you need. VST FX is for audio effects and VSTi is for instruments.

@si1n3rd I think you would apply it to the track rather than the MIDI item but it's been a long time since I played with Reaper so I'm not 100% sure

Well, I put my built MIDI FX on a track and then a synth in the FX chain . And I have no sound at all. When I bypass MIDI FX plugin, I have sound.

@David-Healey Reaper doesn't recognize Midi FX au, maybe MIDI FX vst, I have not tried that for a long time
