HISE MIDI FX
-
@si1n3rd MIDI FX is what you need. VST FX is for audio effects and VSTi is for instruments.
-
@David-Healey And how should I use it? As MIDI FX on MIDI Item in Reaper?
-
@si1n3rd I think you would apply it to the track rather than the MIDI item but it's been a long time since I played with Reaper so I'm not 100% sure
-
Well, I put my built MIDI FX on a track and then a synth in the FX chain . And I have no sound at all. When I bypass MIDI FX plugin, I have sound.
-
@si1n3rd Can you send me the project?

-
@David-Healey vsti
-
@ulrik Hmmm interesting
-
@David-Healey Here it is. DDC.zip
-
@David-Healey Reaper doesn't recognize Midi FX au, maybe MIDI FX vst, I have not tried that for a long time
-
@si1n3rd Building now
-
@si1n3rd In reaper, are you putting the effect before or after the instrument?
-
@David-Healey before
-
@ulrik as I read here VST3 doesn't support MIDI FX at all.
-
@si1n3rd Good find, so let's stick with VSTi.
-
It's not working here. @ulrik Are you testing with one of the snippets posted or the project?
-
@David-Healey Yes, the snippet I posted
-
@ulrik Yes it works in Reaper here on Debian when compiled as a VSTi. Doesn't work in Ardour though.
-
@David-Healey my project or snippet?
