      Hi everyone!

I'm new to HISE, and have just finished David Healey's excellent course. I tried to build my own FX plugin, and was able to export the it as a VST, but when I opened it up none of the parameters were doing anything, even though they were inside the IDE. As soon as I went back to fix it, I have encountered several compilation errors. The Scriptnode DSP network doesn't want to be exported to a dll file, and the overall compiler has totally packed in. The program freezes/crashes every time I try either of these.

I have not written any custom code, and I am using a copy of HISE for Windows I compiled using Faust and FFTW, having followed the instructions in the video series. What could be causing this?

@l4ch Did the effect project from the course compile and work as expected?

@d-healey Hi David! Love the course! I didn't compile the exact projects from the course, I used it as more of a jumping-off point. I didn't script anything myself though, it was all Scriptnode stuff that already existed in HISE.

@l4ch Try compiling the course project as a baseline. Then we'll know if the issue is specific to your project or a more general problem

@d-healey Definitely a problem with my own project, aeris compiles and runs just fine! This means I probably did something stupid along the line, and it's not a problem with my IDE. What additional information would be helpful?

@l4ch Break it down, create a fresh project and just add in the minimal amount of stuff from your main project to demonstrate the issue. This can often reveal the cause of a problem or help narrow it down.

@d-healey Thank you very much. Big fan of the videos you make- I'm learning HISE for a degree project and this is massively helpful. Will definitely be subscribing to the Patreon!

Hi again, this is an example of a network that refused to compile. Is it a problem with the network itself, or my project-specific configuration?
