Keynumber / Notenumber table question

I'd like to write some script for a table attached to a notenumber modulator. All I see in the docs seems to mention a keynumber modulator in place of notenumber and with zero API calls mentioned.

I'd like to set the range for the table so that it only covers a predefined range of notes. Is this possible?

The reason for doing this is so editing 20 notes in the UI, which is all I might have set for a particular instrument or generator, is a lot easier and can be more detailed than if the entire 127 notes is being covered

Oh and I just thought of a sub-question if my above plan doesn't work. Can A sliderpack be used somehow with the notenumber modulator instead of a table and if so, how?
